Additional activities & projects

During my PhD I was involved in the design an implementation of a C++ software library that allows for fast and easy development distributed realtime virtual reality experiments (see http://velib.kyb.mpg.de).

Together with Prof. Dr. H.A. Mallot and Dr. N. Krämer, I organized the Interdisciplinary College (IK2005) in Günne with the focus theme: "Real, Mental, and Virtual Spaces"

Reviewer for the Spatial Cognition IV - Reasoning, Action, Interaction. International Conference Spatial Cognition 2004, Frauenchiemsee, Germany, October 2004

Reviewer for the Spatial Cognition V . International Conference Spatial Cognition 2006, Bremen, Germany, September 2006

Member of the Programm Committee of the annually Interdisciplinary College, a one-week spring school which offers a dense, intensive and state-of-the-art course program in neurobiology, neural computation, cognitive science/psychology, artificial intelligence, robotics and philosophy.

Organizer of the workshop "Biologically inspired models of spatial behavior: insights from animals" to be held at the Spatial Cognition 2008
